I've been playing piano for over 40 years, starting when I was a kid entertaining my family and friends. My first gig was in junior high school, and I loved it and caught the 'performer's bug'. Over the years, through work in high tech, I've always returned to the piano as a source of calm and relaxation, and as a way of dealing with the pace of modern life and its changes.
For the last 15 years, I've grown as a vocalist and have performed at many concerts and functions. I often accompany some terrific singers for their own performances, which I love to do as it gives me the best seat in the house! I'm also a singer with Revv52, Calgary's Vocal Energy, one of Canada's most progressive singing groups. I've had the pleasure of performing with this stellar group at Carnegie Hall in New York City in March 2016 and April 2019, and at the Calgary Stampede Grandstand show in July 2017. I'm also a member of Revv52's traveling group ReMix: Powered by Revv52 - a group of a dozen singers who regularly perform for community and corporate events.
I'm so fortunate to be influenced and mentored by many great artists, and terrific teachers. I look forward to playing and singing with them as often as I can - always trying to find new ways to bring out the story in the song.
